What the official sources say
County landfills
Riverside County says its active landfills are Class III sites for nonhazardous waste and lists household refuse, tree and yard waste, concrete and asphalt, furniture, and C&D among accepted categories. Exact site acceptance still varies.
Household hazardous waste
The county operates resident HHW events and facilities. Check the current schedule, residency rules, accepted products, and the published household transport limit before loading.
Load preparation
The county publishes an additional charge for uncovered or unsecured loads. A tarp is not enough unless the load is actually contained and cannot escape.
Pricing
The landfill fee page states that its current schedule is effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Use the official fee sheet for the facility and material; minimums and special handling can control the total.

- Secure and cover the load, carry required documentation, and keep a backup destination.
